Ein kühles Rot, fast Pink. Gefärbt mit Lac, dem harzartigen Sekret der Lackschildlaus.

A cool red, tending towards pink. Dyed with Lac dye, the resinous secretion of the lac insect.

Ein kühles Rosa, etwas dunkler als PINNOW Pink unten. Dieses Rosa wurde ebenfalls mit Lac gefärbt.

A cool pink, slightly darker than PINNOW Pink below. This pink was also dyed with Lac.

Ein warmes Rosa, etwas heller als PRENZLAU Pink oben. Gefärbt mit Cochenille, ebenfalls eine Schildlaus, aus der auch roter Lebensmittelfarbstoff hergestellt wird.

A warm pink, slightly lighter than PRENZLAU Pink above. Dyed with cochineal, also a scale insect, which is also used as a food colorant.

Ein sehr blasses Rosagrau, gefärbt mit den Resten des Lac-Farbbades. Auf diese Weise wurde das Farbbad komplett aufgebraucht. Ich verwende die sanften Töne gerne als Zwischentöne in Farbmustern.

A very pale greyish pink, dyed with the remains of the lac colorant in the pots. This way the dyebath was completely exhausted. I love the soft tones that result from this method to use as in-between colours in colour-work knitting.
